Euphorbia serpens

Matted Sandmat

Euphorbia serpens can be easily distinguished from the similar-looking Euphorbia prostrata by its white petals. The plant, which occurs in southern North America and most South American countries, grows as an annual with its shoots lying flat on the ground. As an introduced species, it can also be found in some European countries. The pictures shown here were taken in Malaga (Spain).
