Foeniculum vulgare can grow as a biennial or perennial and reach a height of up to two meters. Fennel displays its yellow umbel-shaped inflorescences from July to September. It originates from the Mediterranean region. The pictures shown here were taken at the beginning of September near Cancale in Brittany, where the plant, which belongs to the umbellifer family, can often be seen.
