Pentaglottis sempervirens

Evergreen Bugloss, Green Alkanet

Evergreen Bugloss (Pentaglottis sempervirens) is an evergreen plant native to France, Portugal and Spain which can be up to one meter in height. It shows its blue flowers from May to August. It is rarely used as an ornamental plant in Germany. In the Netherlands, where the pictures for this article were taken, I have seen it growing in many gardens and also in the wild.
