Blue Passion Flower, Brazilian Passion Flower, Blue Passionfruit
Passiflora caerulea is native to South America. Its original distribution area includes Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. It has also found its way into other regions as an ornamental plant.
The spectrum of flower colours ranges from white to violet to white-blue. It is a popular houseplant or container plant. In mild regions, it can even survive in the garden, tolerating frost down to 14 °F (-10 °C).
