Thermopsis lanceolata is a deciduous perennial that can grow up to 60 centimetres tall and bloom in Central Europe from April to June. Native to temperate Asia ( e.g. China, Russia), the plant is said to tolerate frost down to -13 °F (-25 °C) and is suitable in the garden for sunny locations with evenly moist but not wet soil.
