Kickxia spuria

Roundleaf cancerwort, round-leaved fluellen

The stems of Kickxia spuria grow up to 30 centimeters long and can be erect or prostrate. Like the egg-shaped, oval, or heart-shaped leaves, they are finely hairy. The flowering period of this annual plant can last from July through September in Central Europe.

Its range extends from Europe to North Africa and Western Asia. As a naturalized species, Kickxia spuria is reported to occur in some regions of North America as well as in South Africa (source).
