Sowing instructions

Hippophae rhamnoides can be sown indoors all year round. In the garden, the seeds can be sown from March.

I soaked them in water for one night before sowing. They were then placed in a glass with some peat-free herb soil. The sowing depth can be one centimeter. The seeds can also just be placed on the soil and pressed down.

Sea buckthorn germinating seeds

The seeds germinate reliably after a short cold treatment. To do this, I placed the jar with the lid closed in the vegetable compartment of the fridge for four weeks.

The substrate should be slightly moist but not wet. Wet soil tends to go moldy.
