Euphorbia exigua

Dwarf Spurge, Small Spurge

Euphorbia exigua (Dwarf Spurge) is an annual plant, reaches a height of up to 20 centimetres and can flower in Central Europe from June to September. It grows flat or upright, tolerates sandy soil and can be found in fields or along roadsides.

It can be easily distinguished from Euphorbia peplus and Euphorbia helioscopia by its pointed and narrow bracts. The three euphorbias colonize similar biotopes.
