Crabapple (Malus “Red Sentinel”)

The apples of Malus “Red Sentinel” are not suitable for human consumption. However, they should remain on the tree, which can grow up to five meters high, well into the winter.

Malus “Red Sentinel” is used as an ornamental tree in parks and gardens. I discovered the specimen shown here in a cemetery.
