Artemisia ludoviciana (cv.)

White sagebrush, silver wormwood, western mugwort, Louisiana wormwood (and others)

Artemisia ludoviciana originates from North America and is closely related to common wormwood (Artemisia absinthium). The plant, which belongs to the Asteraceae family, can grow to a height of almost one meter and flowers from May to August (in Central Europe). Several cultivars (cv.) are available, which differ in their overall height and the size and shape of their leaves. It spreads by seeds and short runners.

I discovered the plants shown here in a park in late May/early June.
