Amaranthus powellii is an annual plant and can reach a height of up to two meters in places with nutrient-rich soil.
Powell’s amaranth shows its inflorescences in Central Europe from July to September. It is native to North America and Central America and is a neophyte in Europe. It grows along roadsides, on embankments and in ruderal areas.
